Overview
In most dealerships the people side of the business lives outside the system that runs everything else. Employee details sit in a spreadsheet, the org chart is in someone's head, and the sensitive data — tax file numbers, bank and super details — ends up in email threads and filing cabinets. When the workshop already knows who is qualified to do what and who reports to whom, keeping a second, disconnected HR record is duplicated effort that quietly goes stale.
MDMS puts a proper workforce register inside your DMS. Every employee has a record with their position, employment basis, manager and start date; managers get a self-service view of their own team; and the whole company is visible as a searchable directory and a live org chart drawn from who reports to whom. Access is tiered — an employee sees only their own profile, a manager sees their reports, and HR sees everyone — and the genuinely sensitive fields (TFN, bank, super) are encrypted at rest and visible only to payroll, with every view recorded in an audit trail. It is built to grow into full leave, time & attendance and onboarding without ever leaving the system your business already runs on.
