Reorder the right parts before you stock out

Overview

In most equipment dealerships reordering parts is still a manual scan of the shelves and a gut call on what to buy. That is how the fast-moving filters, seals and consumables run out mid-repair while cash sits dead in slow lines nobody wants. The person who knows the numbers is usually the busiest person on the counter, and reorder decisions get made in the gaps between jobs. When it is all in someone's head, a sick day or a resignation takes the reordering logic with it.

MDMS replaces that guesswork with min/max and reorder-point settings held against each part, together with the preferred supplier to buy it from. One action regenerates replenishment suggestions for every part that has dropped below its reorder point, and each suggestion works out the order quantity from your available stock, on hand plus what is already on order, back up to the target level. Every line spells out the shortfall reason and the supplier, so the buyer can see why a part is being suggested rather than taking it on faith. From there you select the suggestions you want and group them by supplier into draft purchase orders in a single step, so a shelf scan becomes a repeatable system anyone on the counter can run.
