The overview

What Sales & Quoting is for

MDMS brings CPQ-grade quoting to capital equipment dealers. Import a supplier price book from a spreadsheet, check the preview, and build quotes from it: machines with their options, fitted extras, workshop jobs, sublet lines and stock parts on one itemised screen, with live margin and stale-price checks. One quote can carry several machines, each expanded to a row per unit. A trade-in is recorded against the deal at its actual cash value, with its own inventory record through to resale, and manufacturer rebate programs are tracked per unit. Price books and itemised quoting is a feature pack: new accounts start with it on.

Margin is guarded before a deal goes out. A quote that falls below the margin floor waits for a manager to approve it, and the customer receives a clean itemised copy, one line per machine with its spec, for e-signature. When the quote is accepted it becomes a sales order in one click, each unit gets its own build order and work order, sublet lines create a draft purchase order, and the downstream paperwork follows so nothing falls through the cracks between sales and the workshop. Commission runs on a plan you set per rep, can pay by product group, is earned when the deal's invoice is paid, and is gathered into statements you hand to payroll. Quotes made in the older configurator keep working as they were.

What’s included

  • Supplier price books and pricing rules per product group
  • Multi-machine quotes with options, trade-ins and rebates
  • Margin floor with manager approval
  • Itemised customer copy, e-signature and quote to sales order conversion
  • Deposits collected and applied
  • Commission tracking by rep

How it works

  1. Import the supplier price book and build the quote from it, with options, extras and the trade-in
  2. A quote below the margin floor waits for manager approval, then goes out as a branded PDF for e-signature
  3. Convert to a sales order; each unit gets a build order and work order, and sublet lines draft a purchase order
MDMS AI · optional add-on

Ask in plain English. Confirm it yourself.

MDMS AI is built into the ERP, not bolted on. Every change is shown as a preview, and nothing is saved until you confirm. Questions are free. Each change you confirm uses 1 Action; a change that fails is returned.

  • Sales & Quoting

Ask where a deal stands, start a draft quote, turn a quote into an order or take a deposit, each shown as a preview before anything is saved.

MDMS AI is an optional add-on with its own price and an AI seat for each user who uses it. What is available depends on your modules and each user’s role.
