Overview

Trade customers expect the pricing they negotiated, and they expect it every single time. In most dealerships that promise lives in someone's head or a spreadsheet, so volume breaks get applied inconsistently, the wrong discount lands on the counter and margins quietly erode when staff drop the price on the fly. The bigger the parts catalogue and the customer base, the harder it is to keep contract pricing honest by hand.

MDMS turns that into a single price matrix. You build pricing rules by scope, from a specific customer or customer group down to a specific product, a product group or a global rule across the whole catalogue, and you choose how each one works: a fixed price, a percent off list, a target margin percentage or quantity price breaks for volume. Every rule can carry effective-from and effective-to dates, so promotions and contract periods start and stop on their own. When a rule could overlap, the most-specific one wins, then priority, then the best volume break, falling back to list price when nothing applies. That resolved price is then applied automatically on quotes, invoices and the counter, so the price a customer sees is the price you actually agreed to.

What's included

  • Customer and product price groups
  • Rules by customer, group, product or global scope
  • Fixed, percent-off, margin and volume-break methods
  • Auto-resolved on quotes, invoices and the counter

How it works

  1. Organise your accounts into customer price groups and your catalogue into product price groups.
  2. Create pricing rules by scope and method, set a priority and effective dates, and add volume breaks where you offer them.
  3. Quote, invoice or sell at the counter and let MDMS resolve the correct price automatically.
