What delivery dockets and proof of delivery is
A parts order leaves the warehouse on a Friday afternoon, and by Monday the customer says it never arrived, or that half of it was missing. Delivery dockets give the dealership something better than a phone call to point at.
Inside Warehouse, a Deliveries tab lets staff create a docket from the picked quantities on a sales order and assign a driver. The driver opens the docket on their phone and completes it at the door: the receiver's name, a signature and up to six photos of the goods on site. A PDF packing slip, with no prices on it, can be downloaded for the load or the customer.
The docket is a record of what left and who accepted it, and that is all it claims to be. Quantities on it are informational, so completing a docket does not move stock or raise an invoice. A delivered or cancelled docket cannot be altered afterwards, and cancelling one releases its quantities so a corrected docket can be built. It needs a connection when the driver completes it; there is no offline queue.
Cancelling is as simple as creating: a cancelled docket frees its quantities for a replacement, which suits the common case where a pallet was re-picked after the first docket was raised.

A rural customer orders a pallet of belts, filters and a hydraulic hose for a header. The warehouse picks the lines, builds a docket and hands it to the morning driver. At the farm gate the driver gets the owner's name and signature, photographs the pallet from two angles, and the docket closes. When the customer later queries a missing hose, the photos show it on the pallet.

- Does it work without phone signal?
- No. The driver needs a connection to complete the docket. There is no offline queue.
- Does completing a docket invoice the customer?
- No. Quantities on a docket are informational. Stock and invoicing are handled in the sales order as usual.
- Can I email the packing slip to the customer?
- The PDF is downloaded rather than emailed. You can send it yourself from your own mail.
